Scenie drive into St. Remy

What road would I take into St. Remy that takes you through the miles of overhead tunnels of plane trees? I believe I read somewhere that the D99 is the road. Can someone confirm that for me? We would be driving from Perne les Fontaines to Cavaillon and then into St. Remy.

Merci!

That is correct, and the most direct route for you....then take the D27 to Les Baux....it will be very scenic for you..........enjoy

When I asked this question before my stay in St. Remy, someone responded that it was the road from Tarascon.

However, as it turns out I don't think there's a non-scenic way to approach. It may be that most of the roads in and out of town have the plane trees--as well as the driveways to some of the hotels.

The road from Tarascon is not, as I recall, the road with the plane trees; it follows a waterway instead.

The D99 from St. Remy to Cavaillon is the definitely a tree-lined road. There are portions of many area roads like that. Even the N7 has lovely parts. If you check a Michelin map, the roads that have a green stripe are the scenic ones. We have rarely been disappointed in Michelin scenic choices.

Look for bison routes. They are the scenic back country roads. Most tourist offices will give you a local map of bison routes.

No of the allés are "Miles" If you stop for lunch after leaving Perne Les Fontaines on the way to Cavaillon , do it at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and eat at Chez Phillipe, try for a table overlooking the falls. There's also a paper mill and a Jewish Museum you can take in.
