Scenic places and national parks in Cyprus ?

-What are some scenic spots and national parks in Cyprus, where we can hike or boat or just enjoy the pretty view. (Not beaches unless attached to a national park.)
-We have 2 weeks.
thanks in advance.

The Akamas is the national park of Cyprus, it is a wilderness where you can hike and swim. To get there, you can take a boat trip rom Latchi harbour to the Blue Lagoon for a dip or you can hike from Aphrodite's Baths onwards. If you are there in the summer, you can have lunch at Viklari which serves souvla under the shade of a vine and views to the see in rustic surroundings.

The mountains are scenic IMO, Platres is a mountain resort town (with hikes possible to Caledonia Falls) and there are several pretty villages in the area. Stavros tis Psokas is a scenic area. Paphos harbour is scenic, the Mosaics are fantastic. Curium is in a great location with views towards the sea, Sea Caves are scenic, both the ones near Cape Greco and the ones at St Georges near Paphos. The salt lake in Larnaca close to the airport is a spot where you can see flamingoes depending on season and the Hala Sultan Tekke is an interesting site.

Some scenic villages are Lofou and Laneia in the Limassol district or Kakopetria, I also like Lysos and Pomos - a scenic drive through the Paphos forest and come out at the coast near to Pomos.

IMO the best base for hikes in the beautiful Akamas Park is the village of Neochorio (some pensions and bed and breakfasts).
The most unspoilt area of Cyprus is the Karpaz National Park Wild Donkey Protection Area in the Northeast of Cyprus. You can stay either at Dipkarpaz, the only village in the area, or in some basic chalets along the endless sandy beaches.

It will be cool in the mountains so take appropriate clothing. Coastal areas will be pleasantly warm but there could be rain. Early April is Easter which is a very popular time to go so things get booked up.
