Scenic National Parks and other places in Sicily
 

-What are some scenic places and national parks that you can recommend in Sicily where we can hike or boat or enjoy the pretty view. (Not beaches, unless it's attached to a national park?). Please include all scenic places that you like not just the ones close to Furani, in case we change our mind about where to stay.
-If we're considering being based in Furani on the eastern part, and have almost 2 weeks, where can we go? We prefer day trips up to 4 hours driving one way or 8 round trip?

Parco Naturale delle Madonie (a bit east from Cefalù in the north)
Zingaro Nature Reserve (near San Vito Lo Capo, northwestern tip)
Etna Volcano (east)
There are other national parks, but these are the ones I've been to.

Zingaro Park with small pebble beaches (neither sunbeds nor umbrellas) is fine.
Vendicari Park (south of Noto - Lido di Noto) has some fine sandy beaches with abslolutely no tourist infrastructure: nothing but nature between Lido di Noto and San Lorenzo. Some agriturismi and a Roman villa with stunning mosaics in the hinterland.
