Scenic Drive from Berlin to Frankfurt
 

We are driving tomorrow from Berlin to Alzenau, a town near Frankfurt... Any suggestions for scenic drives between Berlin and Frankfurt? We have about 8 -10 hours to make the trip, so do not mind a little bit of a detour and getting off the autobahn if there are any scenic routes to cover... Also, any suggestions for cute little town enroute for lunch or for a stop to look around? would love to stop by one or two places if something is considered worthwhile...

I was just researching a little bit quickly and found out about the castles at Potsdam (Sanssouci Palace) and at Eisenach (Schloss Wartburg)... They are listed in the Frommer's list of top german castles... And both these towns seem to be enroute from Berlin to Alzenau... Thoughts on these two castles?

Just to add as a point of reference... We have been to Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof castles in the past...
