As long as she isn't claustrophobic, she should be fine with being underground. My concern would be with the sickness. I may be in the minority, but I was diagnosed with hyperemesis during my pregnancy (I now have 3 month old twins) and was vomiting on average about 15 times a day until I was in the middle of my 4th month, so there is no way I could/would have taken the tour. That would be my biggest concern. I could imagine few things more humiliating than having a sudden need to vomit in the middle of a tour under the Vatican! But since she already knows that she is pregnant and isn't sick yet (I'm assuming, since the OP made no mention of it) then she may be lucky and not have any problems. Still, the nausea can strike at any time so better to be prepared.

We went in October and I did get really warm, but then I'm at a certain, ahem, age My daughter and grandson went over Christmas and were quite comfortable.
I'm not a small person and I had no problems navigating the narrow passageways. Even though there are no windows (of course), I don't recall it feeling stuffy or smelly. That said, i think her only problem will be if she is experiencing morning sickness, which would make entering this holy place an absolute no-no. you should also be aware she won't be allowed to take bottled water, crackers or anything like that in with her and getting out, if she needs to, takes time. Our guide had to escort a claustrophobic gal out and he was gone for a long time.

I'm delicate, even sickly. I'm claustrophobic and I get really hot all the time. I had no problems on the Scavi tour. A seriously handicapped young man was in our group, and he moved with the aid of two braces; he seemed to be totally enjoying it, as I was. If we can do it, she can do it.
It really is so enjoyable that even a huge wuss like me was enthralled and not complaining.

<i><font color=#777777>"The link is a video. If you don't keep your various software updated, the video won't run and you will have problems with the link. It's that simple."</font></i>
Just as I suspected. Looks like I'll be keeping my techie. Does anyone know what "various software" means?
The link works fine. The link was never a problem. Video code comes in lots of flavors. Performance varies from browser to browser. You can't get more current than Firefox 3.6 and Safari 4 and I have T1 bandwidth. The code on the linked site sucks. The Italians fail to impress me with their wed design expertise for an international market.
I apologize to the OP for a temporary hi-jack. Some people, what can you do?
