I emailed them for reservation upon recommendation from this website. Just wondering how long it takes for them to get back to you? A month? Two months? Should I send repeated emails or is that rude? Or, should I also hit them via fax?

It took about 10 days for me to hear back in early March for a tour in late May. I would not email them or fax them continuously. The time probably varies depending on when you will be in Rome and how many days you gave them that you can possibly tour. Hope that helps.

I emailed them around April 20 something. I will be there at the beginning of July, in Rome for 6 days. I told them my dates of stay and just indicated any time during those 6 days are fine. I think that's plenty of time. If I don't hear from them in another week or two, I'll send another one.

I emailed them on March 25th and got my confirmation for the tour (date/time) on April 20th, I believe. Emailed them with my CC info and got autoreply on the 23rd. Am hoping all goes through.

We are going at the end of May for 7 nights. Gave them 5 days to play with so I'm sure that helped.

Looking forward to it very much.

My response took about 10 days as well. I have seen posts on here that claim it can take up to several months. I would just wait and see. If you still don't hear from them after a month or so, then maybe consider resending the information.

They will in fact get back to you sooner, you don't really need to make reservations months in advance, in fact, I would recommend not doing so-one or two months in advance is about the limit for most advance reservations for museums in Italy generally.

I wanted to change my Scavi tour last September at the last minute (which I am wont to do) and so I got a response back in a little over a week that permitted me to change it to two days later.

In fact, if you don't have Scavi reservations at all, you can just call when you get to Rome and ask if they have an opening in the next few days-many times they will, so they can take you at the last minute.

The Galleria Borghese, for example, you don't need to make reservations-I've walked in on a Sunday, arguably their busiest day, and was put directly in the next time slot that started an hour later, many other people came in and were doing the same thing. Making reservations in advance is certainly easier, but usually not compulsory, unless there is a special exhibit going on.

One exception to that: the Uffizi in Florence-advance reservations are compulsory there, because the lines are incredibly long, almost all year long. But to the Galleria Accademia, not necessary, if you go late in the day.

I emailed March 17th and got my reservation emailed on May 5th for a July 2nd tour.

It took them about 2 months to email me with my reservations. When I hadn't heard from them in a month, I had sent a second email.
