Scavi tour: anybody got tickets for JUNE?
 

Hi everyone
I'm desperate!
I just read in tripadvisor.com that some people who asked for tickets for June already got their confirmations for the Scavi tour!!!
I haven't got anything yet!!
Has anybody sent a SECOND e-mail and got the tickets?
Please, help!

I just received my confirmation for June 23rd after originally writing in January. Now I am trying to decide how to provide payment. I am nervous about sending VISA info through the email. Tried to fax, but I think I have the international access number incorrect. Does anyone have information on this? Someone else in an old post mentioned they sent visa info in two seperate emails. Given the difficulty of communicating with Scavi tour group, I am also hesitant about this. Any advice?

Put me in the camp that thinks sending the credit card information to the Vatican via email is just as safe as sending a fax.

It's certainly a whole lot safer than using a credit card in a local restaurant.

Joycap-I also just received my confirmation for June 23. We are scheduled for 2:30, any chance you are on the same tour?

I sent my credit card via E-mail and really do not think it will be a problem. I have yet to receive a receipt for payment, but it has only been a couple of days.

We received an email with our reservation information on April 26 for a tour on June 22. I faxed my credit card information (with my email address on the letter) on 4/26, and received a confirmation receipt on 4/28.

It has not shown up on my credit card yet, however.

By the way, I sent 2 emails (one in Nov. and one in Dec.) and a fax (in March) requesting tickets.

Just an update- received my receipt yesterday. Took four days from receiving confirmation.

.... just looked again on my CC statement on line. I was indeed charged (dated 4/28) for our June tour... but it just went through last night apparently.

I made my request in January. I had just about given up hope when they came through. Good Luck!

thanks for answering my question.
I sent mine in March since I followed some people's advice in this forum saying that it's better to do it three months before the tour date. I'm not blaming anybody here. I just regretted not doing it in January or before. I really wanted this tour.

i mad my request in march but haven't heard anything back yet
am going to go check credit card statement now & see if it went through--hope so--this is one of the things my parents really want to see & i am trying to treat this trip as an anniversary happy for them...38 years!

I send my email request on December 29, 2005, and got my email confirmation for June 22 on April 26. I emailed my cc information, and got my receipt on April 28, and it was posted on my cc on the same day. I sent only one email request.
