Scandinavia-help

Anyone have recommendations for Scandinavian tours?
Couple, 50's, already know about tauck & odysseys.
Any opinions as to group touring (in Scandinavia) verses booking our own hotel & transportation and joining day tours? I'm not sure about renting a car but we are fine with rail and ferry travel. Although the thought of doing my own itinerary is daunting...
Help, please?

Hi; This is another well regarded tour company. www.5stars-of-scandinavia.com For us, we have decided to use Tauck next year. iris1745/dick

TY. We've had a good experience with Tauck, but the dates dont match this year. Which trip will you do next year?

We used Smartours to visit Scandinavia / St. Petersburg last year. It was our first tour - we always research and book our own trips. I really did not know if it would be our style, but we were happy with everything.
Our thoughts were along the line of yours - too daunting to plan for that many places. After experiencing all the cities (Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen, Balestrand, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Pete.)and assorted transportation (air, train, coach, ferries, including an overnight one to Oslo), I was extremely glad that I did not attempt it on my own for our first time there. I will probably plan it myself if we ever go back though!

Hi; We would do the Tauck Scandinavia tour for 14 days. Probably in early August. It doesn't include Helsinki, so we would fly to Helsinki and stay three days before meeting up with the tour in Stockholm. It's our 50th Anniversary trip. iris1745/dick
