Scandinavia! driving a car??
I would like some feedback from those of you who have driven around Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. I know the roads are good, and we like ALL scenery,, but just wanted some ideas of your intinerary, . I understand even Norway, with all it's "water" can be interesting if seen from a car.
THANKS! |

Do you mean to imply that roads running along water are usually not scenic???? I suppose Norway has some of the most spectacular scenery of the Scandinavian countries, but then I personally do enjoy water tremendously. |
Hi
Driving in Norway can take time. The roads are not that great in some area and with all the mountains and fjords in the west, there are lots of turns and going up and down. Norway is also a very long contry so driving from the very south to the very north is a long, long drive. But it is very scenic to drive around in the valleys of western Norway. hsv: come on....you know what I mean, but I'll "spell it out",(though I thought it was pretty clear!)
MANY people think the only way to see Norway and the beautiful fjords is from a SHIP on the WATER!!! My husband and I usually prefer car travel and I wanted some feedback on CAR travel in Norway (and Scandinavia in general). I've never heard of many people who do it this way...most taking cruises through the fjords! We feel it can be beautiful also "driving the fjords!" RIGHT??? |
