Sawday's guide

Finally I have found a suitable place in Vence. It is recommended in Sawday's guide. Does anyone have experience using this guide for accomodation?

I have a friend who has used it for Great Britain and has been very pleased.

I've been using it for years and have never been disappointed. My only gripe is his maps. I resent it when I have to get a whole new prescription just to locate a town B-)

ita,
I've been using the Sawday's guides for years as well, and I've been pleased with the accomodations I've chosen from these guides. I usually check to see if they're recommended in other guides as well, such as Karen Brown, and I also check to see if they've been reviewed here on the Forum.

I am a big fan of the Sawday guides. I have found some very nice, unique places. I only wish they were available for more countries.

ita,

I can only speak to Sawday's guides to Ireland, but I've found them through three editions to be quite accurate and a treat to read.

The maps in the guide, however, aren't particularly valuable, but I like the fact that the recommendations cover a wide range of price ranges.

Sawday's is well worth a peek.

Best of luck.
