Savoia & Jolanda - Venice, anyone been there?
We're going to the Savoia & Jolanda, Venice in March 2003, have been to Venice before, but can't wait to see it again, 'specially from the Grand Canal. Can anyone tell me anything about the Savoia & Jolanda? Also heard the restaurant Al graspo de uva is good - any opinons?
Thanks........

I stayed there!

It was great. I had a single so the room was small but clean, well kept etc. The location is the best part-it's right on the water literally abutting the "Excelsior" which I believe is either "The" or one of the most expensive in Venice. Also, two minutes to St. Marks, public boat stop right in front, GREAT people watching place but quiet once you get inside. GREAT service. I'd stay there again!!

Buona Viaggio!!!!!

For a waterfront hotel in the middle of things, Savoia & Jolanda is still pretty reasonable in cost. The rooms have been somewhat improved over the years, but not all of them are so great. Be sure to ask to see the room before you sign up, and ask for another if you don't like it. The big suites overlooking the lagoon are the best.
