saumur chateau renovations

Does anyone know if they have they finished the renovations on the Saumur Chateau and has it reopened to visitors?

Anybody been to Saumur recently?

Perhaps you can email the tourist office in Saumur and ask them?

We thought that seeing the chateau from the outside was sufficient. We took the guided tour of the interior, and it seemed to go on forever. Like many chateaux there was no furniture to show what life had been like, but there were some exhibits.

I've checked with my hotel in Saumur and they have informed me that the chateau is still closed.

I don't think it a great loss. The interior was not memorable. You can still get most of what is good about it -- an impressive exterior, good exercise walking up to it, and views from the ramparts.
