I have decided to surprise DH with carriage ride in Paris.
It cost $213 for 2 people. I am working 48 hour shift right now to afford it.

DH is the best and I want something special for him.

Are you thinking of going to the top of the Eiffel Tower??? It was the very worst thing I did on my trip last year. I went before 9 am and the lines were miles long. They crowd you through cattle-gates, elbow to elbow with folks from the 4 corners of the earth. The whole thing took me 5 hours. And it is just as tough to get down as to go up. The view is MUCH better from the top of the Arc de Triomphe- without the crowds. I recommend not going to the top, but to picnic in the Champs de Mars. Also- have you looked at the Museum Pass for 2 days? It might save you some money- and eliminates the lines at the museums. http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/pass_averts.php

Another idea- The Musee Rodin is right next to d'Orsay. The Rodin is actually fairly small- it is in a section of a large mansion, and it would be easy to see it along with d'Orsay, on to the Eiffel Tower. Another thing I was made aware of before my trip was to be alert for pickpockets and prepared for begging. Apparently they swarm around the base of the Eiffel Tower and are "around." I personally didn't have any problems, but my travel friend was robbed of $600. Just be alert and for sure, don't set your handbag down without watching it. As to my previous remarks about the Tower, I've heard it is not real crowded after dark- the later, the better. Another thing I discovered was (sorry it is not convenient to your itinerary) Pere Lachaise is AMAZING. The grave sites are so sculptural, so old and so close together. Perhaps you've already been? Well. . . I'm sure every minute will be heaven! Never enough time.

We only care a small amount of losable cash with us each day. If you carry $600 in cash, except the worst.

im hoping DH will love Paris and next time we will get an apartment for 1 week.

The Rodin museum is definitely not right next to the Orsay. they are both in the 7th and you could walk between them if you want, though. I'd say they are about 7-8 blocks apart.

I am having troubles getting d'Orsay tickets online. Maybe i am too sleep to figure it out. Can i buy the tickets online and print them? It says something about having to go and pick them up.

Can someone tell me how they got their tickets online.

Sorry i just read my post i meant skip the bus tour and take a city bus to see all the main sites at night.I hired a taxi onces to take me around and the price really wasn't to bad he told us about each sight kind of like a private tour.

I think we will go on vedettes du pont neuf night cruise.

We have puchased online the Paris 2 day Metro pass for Sunday and Monday.

A taxi is probably our best bet for transportation between Paris Nord and our rue Broca apartment since we will have a suitcase apiece and it will be Friday at 4:30 pm.. Agree???

I want something different that is memorable and romantic.
We plan on going on Seine cruise. I want something more.
