Get the 300 series maps - not a map of all of Europe. The Dordogne will just be a dot on a Europe map.

Hey Stu, it's a coiled atlas of 200 plus pages of maps apparently. It should have close ups of all regions.

If the scale is anything larger than 1/200,000 - get some 300 series maps.

Stay in Carcassonne. How many medieval fortress towns have you stayed in and this is one of the greatest.
