Sardinia/Sicily Sept. Weather

Can anyone tell me if the beginning of Sept. is "beach" weather for either of these two places?

gac - I'm assuming you know about the Sardinia weather. Is it beach worthy?

Thanks!
Through most of September you can expect hot (possibly scorching) temperatures and very little if any rain. If you are into sun, I suppose it is the ideal beach weather, if you cool off with frequent dips. But especially by later in the month (and generally even in the height of summer) you can enjoy wonderful breezes and beautiful temperatures once the sun goes down.

We visited Sardinia the last two weeks of September and it was perfect. Weather was clear and a beautiful 80 degrees (about 28 degrees C). Absolutely beachworthy!
Emjoy,
Jan

Was there for the last 8 days or so of Sept this year in the north - not the greatest at all. Very wet and windy for about 3 days and not very warm for most of time- really jumper weather for half the time. Some sun bathing possible for about 3 days but needed to stay out of any wind (with exception of 1 day). Water had also become too cool for comfortable swimming. We were told that a couple of days before we had arrived it had been much warmer. I think first 2 weeks Sept is much safer in Med in general. Last 2 weeks could be great (first week in oct 2001 from memory was well over 30 degrees) but you run higher risks - could get our weather.

I was in Sardinia the first 10 days in September in 2001. Perfect weather. A few days were cloudy, but the majoirty of the time was sunny and perfect beach weather.
