Santorini Restaurant, beach and activity suggestions?
 

Hi All. We will be staying in Oia in September at Mystique. Have any restaurant and beach suggestions for us?

The best swimming on the island isn't at a beach but below Oia at the end of the seawall that begins at Amoudi Wharf. Walk to the end and sunbathe on the big rocks or man-made platform, or swim across the narrow channel to the concrete platform on the little rock island. Eat at Katina's on Amoudi Wharf. In the village, the best restaurant for a sunset dinner is Kastro at the top of the steps to Amoudi. Also at the top of the steps to Armeni is Skala. If you want something other than Greek food the most romantic restaurant in Oia is Karma, a Thai/Indonesian/S.E. Asian fusion restaurant in the alley near the post office. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere!

Can you walk to that beach or how do you get there?

Two ways.

1.) Walk down the steps from the Oia Castle to Amoudi. At the bottom of the steps turn left an follow the seawall all the way to the end, about 1/4 mile.

2.) Drive (or walk) the road that goes past the Youth Hostel all the way down to Amoudi. Park, walk to the wharf and follow the rest of the directions.
