Joe:

I haven't stayed in either of your referenced villas. However, my wife and I did stay in The Volcano View Villas located about 2 kilometers outside Santorini. We highly recommend this hotel. Unbelievable views, two swimming pools, restaurant and bar, reasonably priced. They even have rent mopeds on site (the only way to see the island). I suggest you look into this place.

Have a great trip.

Larry

My wife and I just got back from Santorini, among other stops, we stayed at Danas Villas and found it to be an excellent spot. A commanding view of the Caldera, it is in Fira, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed four nights and the cost was $ 1,000 canadian dollars. Breakfast was included. About the mopeds/scooters myelf I would not rent one. Get a car, we did and saw alot of mopeds/scooters that could not make it up some of the hills. If you want I can look through my stuff and send you phone number email etc for Danas Villas,

Cheers Rob Cook

Hi Joe,

Stayed at the Chromata about 2 weeks ago for two nights and I was a little disappointed. It came highly reccommended by a couple who have stayed there.
If I had to do it over, I would stay nextdoor from the Chromata at ON THE ROCKS.Don't get it confused with the Sun Rocks. I should have listened to the young couple that I spoke to on Mykonos who stayed there. She said that when she walked in it was so beautiful that she cried! I went over and checked it out. Stay there, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Margo

Rob, Did I read you right? $1,000. Canadian for four nights with breakfast?

That's $678 or so USD. Which is about $170. USD or so per night.
