We were on a Med cruise in May, and spent a day on Santorini. We tendered in early. There was a long line for the cable car, but it moved swiftly. The ride up to Fira is very fast (a minute, I think).

We didn't stay in Fira. We took a cab to Oia, where we spent a beautiful day. I can't remember how much the cab was. We walked all over and around the town, then found a little restaurant on a terrace overlooking the caldera.

It was one of the best afternoons of our trip. The gorgeous view, the beautiful day, the fabulous food. We ate and drank the whole afternoon, and it was wonderful!
