Santorini caldera (volcano) tours?

Has anyone taken one of those caldera/volcano boat tours in Santorini? Please share how it was.

I think the full-day cruise is too long. Also, if you want to swim in the hotsprings, wear something you can discard afterward. It will be permanently stained by the sulphur.

The hot springs swim was more like swimming in peewater--lupe warm. I enjoyed the tour but if you have been to the big island of Hawaii, it was really nothing special. I enjoyed renting a car and driving around the island. Going down to the port to catch the boat was probably the best part of the trip.

We did a half-day tour with "Captain George", a young man from Santorini who made the day extra special by sharing his stories of the island and his grandfather-in-law's homemade wine! I think he is pretty well known in Oia, but I will try to find his card if you need it. We also went to the sulphur springs, which we enjoyed very much.

The full day tour wasn't too long for me. At least last time I was there, it was only the full day tour that actually took you out to the smoking island and let you disembark so you could walk around on it -- an amazing and memorable experience.
