San Sebastian - Car Rental Location

Hi guys, we will be in San Sebastian in May and from there renting a car to head off to the Rioja area for a couple of nights...and then driving to Santander where we'll catch a plane to Seville. I'm just looking for some info on the logistics of picking up the car. We will be staying at Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra. We normally try to go with Hertz (husband's business account) but I'm not sure how easy it will be to get to the pickup location. Should we take public transportation? Would we need to grab a taxi? It doesn't have to be with Hertz so are there any other suggestions that would make getting a car easier? We don't even mind a short walk...

The best pickup loaction is at the Hotel Barcelo Costa Vasca. From there you have easy access to the highway. You can take a taxi, along with your luggage, from the Londres.

Thanks, would that be a Hertz agency or some other rental company? If so, which one? It seems Europcar has a rental agency at the train station...

Hertz supposedly has a rental office in the shopping center at Travesía de Garbera,1, but we've never used it. The other location is at the airport.

Avis is locate at the Hotel Barcelo Costa Vasca.

Europcar is at the airport and train station, the one place I don't like to pick up or drop off.

Okay thanks, I will check out Avis. In looking at a map, it certainly does look like a better way to get out of the town.

I appreciate your help
