SAN SEBASTIAN AIRPORT TO DOWNTOWN
 

How far is the airport in SS from the downtown area and what is the easiest mode of transportation.....taxi, bus, rail ??

I've been researching a trip to SS as well, here is a site I found useful on how to get to SS from a few of the nearby airports:

The airport is 15 miles from the center of San Sebastián. Bus from the airport about once an hour. Takes some 30 minutes. Taxi would be around 30€.

Many more flights and normally cheaper to the airport in Bilbao. Direct bus to San Sebastián in 75 mins. Taxi around 100€.

The local bus pulls into the airport and then goes into Hondarribia.Very pleasant ride.There are 2 routes one local and another on the highway.Not much difference in travel time-about 10 minutes.As it gets to San Sebastian,it makes several stops before it ends in the pretty square so have an idea where it's the most convenient for you to get off.
