San Sebastian Airport to Biarritz Airport
 

We are arriving at San Sebastian at midday on a Sunday in June. We need to pick up our rental car from Biarritz Airport, what are options for getting there?

Where are you arriving from? There is regular bus service between SS and the airport in Biarritz. You can also take a taxi if you are in more of a hurry.

Why don't you change your pick point to San Sebastian-Donostia and save the airport pick-up charges, unless you're planning on dropping the car off in France when you leave.

If you are planning on dropping it off in Spain, be prepared to pay a large fee for dropping the rental car off in a country other then where you picked it up.

One more note. The San Sebastian Airport is not in SS. It is in Hondarribia, just across the line from the Pays Basque and only a few kms from the airport in Biarritz.

Dear Robert, we fly into Fuentarrabia airport from Madrid. Is there public transport from that airport direct to Biarritz airport, or Biarritz town perhaps and then we could get a cab from there to the airport? As you guessed, this is a hassle because we are dropping off the car in France and want to avoid that awful fee . The depot in Biarritz town is not open on Sundays, just to complicate our situation.

Another Pays Basque question, I know it is supposed to rain a lot in San Sebastian, is it the same and surrounding areas, like St Jean de Luz and the villages down the coast from Sans Sebastian? Also, is it warm enough to swim at that time?
