Someone once said who Samantha Brown's mother was. She is a somewhat famous person and my husband and I have a bet on who she is. Does anyone remember the post and have and answer???

She reports on various travel destinations around the globe, usually staying in posh hotels. She is most known for her VERY GUSHY reviews.

Joe Brown is an English singer and guitarist/ukulele player. He had a group called the Bruvvers and was quite successful. he started with skiffle and went on to rock and Roll. He was a good friend of George Harrison, and performed at his memorial concert.
Vicki brown was his wife, she died of cancer in 1991. She was a really good singer, as is their daughter, Sam.

Ok so if we are talking about gushy Samantha Brown why is it tagged Germany and who was her famous parent - neither of seem to have been that I can find on the net.

Does anyone watch Rudi (Rudy?) Maxa's shows? I've caught a few of them on PBS. He also stays in very posh places and goes to top restaurants (vicarious pleasures) but I think his overall commentary is a bit better informed than Samantha Brown. She's so sugary I feel like I need an insulin injection.

How do people like her get TV shows? It is like traveling with your idiot sister. Her intellect barely allows her to scratch the veneer. Is her brother Chris Brown who beat her around the head? Is her father Harold Brown who invented the electric chair? Is her cousin James Brown who taught her elocution?

Rudy Maxa is WAY more informative and pleasant to watch than Samantha Brown. I can't watch her. And I love it when Anthony Bourdain picks on her.

I don't think SB's shows are all that informative, but I've never seen AB pick on her, because I <i>can't stand to watch him</i>. Actually, I'd rather watch her than him. My personal take, of course.

iris1745 I saw that too. No mention of a famous parent. In fact I had to Wiki her to find out who she is. But I still don't get why it is tagged Germany or indeed why it is in the Europe forum at all. Maybe the OP will come back and enlighten us.
