salzburg hotel weissetaub or elefant?
 

Has anyone stayed at either of these properties before? I can't decide which one, but it looks as if the elefant has a better location. The prices are very similar, and they both look very nice. Any advice?

I don't know anything about the Weissetaub but I did stay at the Elefant a few years ago and don't think you can go wrong with that one. The hotel room was very nice and comfortable for that price (wonderful bathroom and shower), had a good restaurant on ground level if you needed one (I did one night because the weather was so bad), and has a very central location you can't beat.

Check out the Blaue Gans as well. Similar price range but much better location (right on the Getreidegasse). I looked at these 2 as well but decided to stay at the Blaue Gans and never regretted it.

I was quite happy with Elefant. Comfortable beds, nice rooms and great location.

I stayed at the Hotel Elephant last May and was very pleased with it. It's a lovely property in a great, central location. I found the cheapest rates emailing them directly. My friends booked their room via some website and they paid a significant amount more than I did. <BR>
