We are visiting Austria in a few weeks and will be driving from Vienna to Salzburg. I have tentative reservations to stay at the Hotel Schloss on Lake Fuschl but it is very pricey. Is it worth the money?

Not worth the money- Look for some nice hotels in the town of Fuschl- much less expensive - food is excelent- still some with good lake views.

Anyone stay here lately? I have booked a stay here in April and it's gotten very good reviews on one of the Starwood preferred member boards.

The hotel Schloss Fuschl recently reopened after a multi million euro renovation. It was in great need of this renovation.

I have stayed here previously and was very unhappy after a visit 2 years ago.
The work completely changed the character and facilities of the hotel.

The rooms now are worthy of a 5 star as opposed to the old dark style.
A very nice spa and pool added.

I stayed there a few months ago for 4 days - Not an inexpensive hotel- but superb service and surroundings.Perfect lake view from dining room and most rooms.
Breakfast buffet was very good - food in general is improved.

My only complaint- a long walk around numerous corners from underground garage to room areas.
