Sainte Chapell
 

Very confused--trying to get tickets to Sainte-Chapell sometime between April 24thru April7. I can't seem to navigate their website Help please.

If you purchase a Paris Museum Pass, that will enable you to "skip the line" at St. Chappelle, as well as many other sites. No need to make reservations for a specific date and time.

I've never seen a line at Ste-Chapelle. The only line is for security and you can't skip that line.

If you feel you must buy advanced tickets you can do it through the fnac web site.

That link didn't take me back to the screen where you buy tickets but the Ste-Chapelle site says to buy from fnac. Here's another link. The on line tickets are E3.60 more.

As adrienne says - even w/ a pre-purchesed ticket one still has to wait in the security line. Once through security and inside the complex, the queue to buy tickets is not very long - since the security line works to slow up access. Never more than a handful people waiting to buy tickets.

If you <i>really</i> want to pre-book - wait til you are in Paris.

BTW - don't be put off by the long security line as most of the people are not going to Ste-Chapelle.

Go on a bright sunny day and the windows will be at their best.

It's Ste-Chappelle (feminine). Go when it's sunny, deal with the security line, and go upstairs once inside (amazing how many people can't find their way up to the floor with the windowns).

And after your sunlit daytime visit, go again at sunset for a concert. :-)

I agree with 2 visits; on a sunny day to get the most from windows' colors (thought
they were renovating them when we were there in September 2012) and a gain for a concert in evening.

We were there for a couple of weeks, so we just walked up to buy day tickets on a sunny day. Concert tickets were just bough on walk up basis for next night.

For people wondering about the security line, it is because the Sainte Chapelle is part of the main courthouse complex in Paris. Just like aircrews at the airport, there is a fast track for security for judges and lawyers.

We once waited over an hour in the security line at Ste. Chapelle. People going to the courts bypassed the line, where they joined a shorter one inside. This was about two years ago, in early April, which is hardly the height of the tourist season.

Never Ste-Chapelle but like OP has it Sainte-Chapelle. The Paris Museum Card gets you free entry - if going to 2-3 major museums in a few days the Paris Museum Pass will be a great deal, plus priority entry at crowded places like the Louvre.

well OP left off the e - I suppose that is St-Cirq's point - my mistake.

The tense heavy security line to enter the gate into the Justice complex is not for folks going to the Sainte-Chapelle but for the courts inside - and yes at times long lines - no priority entry there!
