Sahara Dust is in the Air
 
If you're in Europe, are any of you also experiencing the Sahara dust which causes a yellow/orange haze in the sky and leaves surfaces dusted with small particles of yellow sand? Switzerland is the full throes of a Saharadust "storm" today. That means major window cleaning for the upcoming week.

Ah, that good old Föhn. I recall it's eerie skiing on an orange tinted snow.

That was not the föhn. That was the sirocco.

Yes, but unllike in Sicily, where sciroccos are well known, the Sahara dust arrived in Switzerland with no strong wind.

I did notice that the sunsets here in Amsterdam around that time had more intense colors than usual perhaps, but not anything like those pics posted above.
