Sagrada Familia and Park Guell same day

We have tickets for La Sagrada Familia at 9am and the tower at 10.30pm. We had wanted to take the English tour of Park Guell at 1pm but I am thinking we are cutting it close. There is also a tour at 3pm or we could go in the morning another day. Anyone have any advice?

You would be cutting it close IMHO. There's no need to rush your way through the morning at this glorious edifice.Take time to enjoy it. Browse through the gift shop for a few bookmark souvenirs while you're there. I revisit this magnificent place every time I use one of mine. Then, make your way over to the Parc Guell area afterward and slot in lunch nearby before the 3:00 tour there.

I didn't feel a need for a tour at Parc Guell, and so went in the evening -- when it was not completely packed. I rented the audio guide, thought it informative, and was glad to move about at my own pace. Worked wonderfully for me!

we did the two in one day, and I'd advise going for the 3 o'clock tour.

We also did Parc Guell on our own; Sagrada Familia was an absolute mob scene when we last visited and it really took a much longer time to see it than I had expected.

I agree that Sagrada Familia takes more time than you would expect -- the first time we went there, I really expected that we would breeze around the place in just a few minutes because we were all pretty "churched out" by that point in our trip. We ended up staying 2 hours. It's a fascinating place!

I'm glad you reached a decision, emily71, and I am not questioning it ... but I am curious ... so, just for my edification, why do people recommend a guided tour of Parc Guell? Because one can visit during the evening with an audio guide, after other things close and when it isn't crowed, I would have thought an evening visit a bit of a "no-brainer"....
