safe to visit Greece in May?

my family will be visiting Greece (Athens & a few islands) in May. Just wondering if it is safe to travel there since the Easter happens to fall on the first week of May. is the strike still going on? thank you!

Keep current about strike information here: http://livingingreece.gr/strikes

If it's your plan to be in Greece for the Easter Weekend be sure to have all your hotel, plane and ferry reservations double-confirmed. That is the busiest travel weekend of the year in Greece.

You asked: "is the strike still going on?" I'm not sure what strike you mean, but those that occur rarely last more than 24-48 hours, and there don't seem to be any at the moment that would affect tourists. Easter is when Greeks return to their home villages and islands to be with their families, and I'd be surprised if there were any strikes during that period.
