RyanAir- Venice to Frankfurt? any experience?
What would you guys do? Drive or Fly?
On a Monday in August we have to get to Frankfurt for a flight out on Tuesday. We are thinking the 9 hour drive may too long of a drive. We are thinking about taking a flight on Ryanair from Venice to Frankfurt for 130Euros per person (my husbands company will cover his airfare).
Just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experience with the airline. are they mostly ontime, lost luggage a big problem?
any info is appreciated.
Thanks a bunch.

We've had good luck on Ryan air (probably about 5 trips) - no cancelled flights/no lost luggage. However, they do have a fairly low luggage weight limit. Luckily, we travel very light - so no problem. However, I wasn't aware until I checked in... Just confirm what this limit is.

We flew Ryan Air between Frankfurt and Montpillier from Hahn. Yes, Hahn is a shuttle bus ride from Frankfurt. Here is a link to the shuttle bus which run quite frequently:

The seats do not recline, are quite close together but for a short flight it is ok. Be aware of the baggage allowance:

We've used Ryan air both out of and into Frankfurt and had no problems - just be sure you're at the departure on time as their seats are assigned when you get there.
Also, re. "Frankfurt" for Ryan Air. It's actually at an old US Air Force base in Hahn which is an hour and a half bus ride from the Frankfurt Main international airport. Give yourself plenty of leeway in case you miss the shuttle bus from Hahn to Frankfurt International.
