RyanAir- Budapest to Krakow
 

Weighing options to get from Budapest to Krakow in October. Not thrilled with bus or trains. Found a Ryan Air flight that would fit well but I am skeptical because I have never seen this non stop discussed in any forum. Has anyone taken this option and flown this route?
Has anyone flown Ryan Air? If we do not take checked luggage, are their fees very high? Are there crazy weight restrictions for carry ons? Any insight would be appreciated.

Tonnes of people fly ryanair every day - if you do a search here you will get lots of info.

I am flying them at the end of the month.

They are super strict with online check in and weights and limits on all luggage so to avoid huge extra charges be sure you thoroughly read the rules and abide by them.

read all their fine print and you should be fine. If you are not EU do not forget to make sure to have your passport checked BY THEM with your pre-printed boarding pass and stamped ( they may eventually discontinue this practice but it is still active in many airports) before passing through security.

P. S: They are SERIOUS about carry-on size, weight wheels., etc. fitting into their pre-measured bin. Your purse must also fit inside luggage a before boarding. Another check point is at boarding gate.

I fly Ryanair frequently and have never had a problem.

Thank you for your help. I just read all the Ryan Air info. I just measured my carryon luggage to see if it fit their specifications. I keep coming up one inch too wide. Will this be a problem? This is unpacked. Packing will expand it. Should I just pay for checked baggage when I book and carry on a small tote or backpack? The flight is so inexpensive I do not mind paying more. Better safe than sorry? Thanks again for your help

More people take international flights on Ryanair every day than on any other airline, ever.

As previous posters say, just obey their rules. To the nanometre. One of the reasons they're so successful is their honest and open contempt for the "customer's always right" hypocrisy US airlines pretend to adhere to.

Follow what they ask, do not but a sandwich, do not check in luggage, do use the loo, do not breathe, do not, do not, do not .....

and you will have access to an incredibly cheap air travel. If you change any aspect of your booking or have any reason to object to their service be prepared to be ignored or to be charged huge percentages of your initial ticket price.

They are extremely busy but most of their customers feel they are sleeping with the devil.

An inch is too much, they will charge you to check it - when we say follow the rules we don't mean they are guidelines...they are rules and even as much of an inch will get you dinged!!

I think the best plan is to pay for checked luggage. Since the flight is only one hour. I think I can put up with anything they do, short of taking me to Warsaw instead of Krakow
