Ryanair--one bag in cabin rule

Ryanair's rules say:

"Each passenger (excluding infants) is permitted to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board (free of charge)."

Does this mean I can't carry a purse if I carry on my bag?

Thanks

It all depends on the airport you fly from. Some in the UK still have the one bag rule.

Otherwise you should be fine, i've always carried a carry on and purse onto Ryanair flights.

Thanks carolinetaylor.

Another question about the carryon--I've heard that some people are made to check their wheeled bags because the wheels make the bag just a little too long?

Has anyone had trouble with Ryanair doing this?

Yes, rules are rules. They are quite strict with this, but it's not difficult to understand when you board the plane..it's impossible to fit on the overhead just one inch more than they allow !

Ryanair make their profits from people who refuse to believe that when Ryanair say something THEY MEAN IT.

If your bag is too big then it's too big and will have to be checked - at a cost for the bag PLUS possible excess baggage charges

Ryanair will get sniffy if your purse is the size of a small country but if it's a small bag they will generally let it through

you should measure the total length of you bag -- including wheels and handle. If your "21 inch" rollaboard is really 22.5 inches long - then it isn't 21" . . . . .

A bag has to meet their size requirements
