Ryan Air - Weight Restrictions

Has anyone flown with Ryan Air lately that would know how strict they are with their luggage weight restrictions. It appears that their per kg over fees are pretty steep.

Yes, they are strict. They rely on those overweight charges to make up for their low fares!

Almost all inter-European airlines are strict on weight. I find it cheaper to pay for an extra bag if I have to. Bag your things in pouches inside your suitcase, and pack a thin duffel, too. Then move things into the duffel to spread the weight when necessary. I prefer to negotiate ground transport w/ one bag, but I don't mind splitting into two for checking.

I'm pretty sure it's right on their web site - - 4 euro per kg for each over 15, if I recall correctly.

Best wishes,

Rex
Hi

It seems to be strict. They weigh han luggage too.

But it is not evenly enforced.

I was overweight and ready to pay recently, but I was not asked for payment. At the same time the lady at the next counter was complaining about how high her excess charges were.

Peter
