Spiegelcjs, I am using Schoenfeld Airport this summer. It looks to be fairly straightforward.
The easiest way to get to/from central Berlin is to take a taxi for about 25-30 Euros. Otherwise, you get a shuttle at the airport to the S-Bahn train station and then take an Airport Express train into central Berlin which takes about 1/2 hour (keep in mind I haven't done this, but I am just interpreting what I read). |
Schoenfeld airport is a little way out of the centre of Berlin but when I flew home to England from there a couple of years ago, I simply took the S-Bahn out of the Zoo station. From there I took a five minute (cheap) taxi ride.
If your flight times are very early (likely with the budget airlines) then I can recommend the Holiday Inn which is a ten minute walk from the S-Bahn station. They run shuttle buses (and if not, they'll pay for a taxi for you) to take you to the airport at all times of the day. If it was me, I'd cancel the way overpriced Malev tickets ASAP and go for the cheap option...! |
Having flown with them often, I'd say Easyjet is a good airline.
They don't let you arrive late, but many airlines dont fly even when you arrive on time.I find they leave on time more often on the routes I fly than the more expensive airlines. Also, as I find airline food disgusting I'd rather not pay for it with my ticket. "Free" alcohol is another pain - why should we all pay to help people get drunk on the plane?Cant they buy their own? If you feel you are liable to be late for your flight & need free booze, dont fly easyjet. Remember this forum is full of complaints from people who paid top dollar & had poor service. |
