RWC

Onwards and upwards:-

I realise this is not an exclusively European issue, but it IS being played in France and 3/8 of the teams still in are European.

After the pool stages Australia plays England; and New Zealand plays France (in that well known we French town, Cardiff); on Sunday we play Argentina, and South Africa plays Fiji.

USA finished a plucky last in their pool, but did not, in any way disgrace themselves.

I just hope Argentina play the same game against us that they played against the Irish; can't see it though, as we don't need the tries the way Ireland did. Honestly, I think we've got about as far as we're going to go (again!)

Can't help wondering if there are people asking themselves "Which airport is RWC?"

If Argentina play like they did against France, I think we can win. If they play like they did yesterday, we're stuffed!!

It said on the telly (I was in the pub and it was on) that the Argies are rated 4th in the World. Since when? How did that happen?

Oh those gorgeous French guys against the All Blacks !

The French are doubly horrified -- 1) of course the All Blacks scare them, but 2) the next match is being played in Cardiff instead of in France. That's a really lousy stroke of luck when you're hosting a world sporting event and your team is not even playing in your country!

That's what happens when you try to buy votes....

The Argentinians have been right up there since they beat Wales last year.

The rankings have been updated today, and we're up 3 places in 3 weeks, at eth expense of Wales, Italy and Samoa.

I'm going to bask in the moment. It may not come round again soon.
