Rustic, Relaxed restaurant in Rome?
 

We are having our wedding in December in Rome, near the Colosseum. We are looking for a rustic-looking, relaxed restaurant (trattoria, hostaria, pizzeria, etc - no fine dining!) where 20 of us can have dinner following the ceremony. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally, it wouldn't be too far from the Colosseum, as I would like for all of us to be able to walk from the ceremony venue, but if there is a really great place across the city, we are willing to take a few taxis. Maybe a place where we might be able to dance as well, or that has a place nearby where we can go for drinks and dancing afterwards. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Check out Hostaria Nerone, at Via delle Terme di Tito, 96, although I am not sure they can do 20 all at one table if that is important to you. I doubt very much that you could do any dancing there, and in general I think you might have a hard time finding a rustic old place with enough room for dancing unless you buy out the space for the night so they can clear some tables. Maybe you could contact the Hotel Forum and see if they would allow you to come for an after-dinner cake-cutting, drinks and dancing in their rooftop restaurant

I also think the lobby areas of the Hotel Forum (which include a bar, I believe) are charming, but I don't know if they would let you do any dancing there unless it was as old fashioned as the decor

Vinoroma isn't a restaurant that serves dinners In a previous post, the OP said that the ceremony at Vinoroma would include drinks and light snacks. This new post is asking for suggestions for restaurants near there (Vinoroma is near the Colosseo) where the group can sit down and eat dinner, after the ceremony at Vinoroma.

They have a fixed price menu "Percorso Romano", where proposed, depending on the season, all the typical dishes of Rome, Ancient Rome and modern Rome.
We eat very well here (I'm Italian) and they are all young, very friendly and the place is always attended by fashionable people.
Required to reserve your table, otherwise you can not find the place.
