Try the Radisson Edwardian chain. There are a good number of these in London and there are sometimes deals with them.

I stayed at the Hotel Russell in August 2001 for about a week. I got a good deal on the room; 78 GBP per night inclusive of VAT and English breakfast. As mentioned in a previous post, you may get a room with a lumpy bed . . . I did. <BR> <BR>However, the location was excellent for my purposes. The breakfast service was very satisfactory and there's a post office, small grocery store, coach stop and tube stop within 1 minute walk from the hotel. Also the Big Bus Tour (red line) stops at the National Hotel around the corner from the Russell. I found a lot of nice pubs and restaurants in Bloomsbury, Hoborn and Tottenham Court. There's also a large inexpensive internet provider close by called EasyEverything in Tottenham Court. <BR> <BR>One last thing, they are doing a lot of renovation work in the hotel (which I was told will go on till mid-2002).
