Russel Sq. station resetaurants
 

Can anyone recommend good, not to expensive restaurants near Russell Sq. Unfortunately my wife doesn't care for Indian food, so that's out.

If you head north from Russel Sq. Station toward the Brunswick Mall, there is a block full of pubs ("Lord Balfour", etc), all good reasonable offerings. There is also a gourmet burger joint on the right hand side of the street ("GBK") in the mall.

We love the Swan, right nearby and stop there whenever in London
