Running in Europe

I am a runner/jogger and am going to europe at the end of this april. (Paris, Prague, Rome) Does anyone know how difficult it will be for me to go out for like a 10mile run. I have heard horror stories about the Rome traffic. I would be running around 6:30 a.m. If anyone can give me some feedback I would really appreciate it.

Hi B,

In Paris, you can run in the parks. I think that the same is true for Rome and Prague.

I ran in Jardin Luxembourg with about 50 other runners. 6-7 am on a weekday.

The streets were harder to run in, but the parks are lovely.

Traffic in Europe at 6:30 am is hardly ever a major issue. And wherever there's pavement and grass, you can run. I don't believe you have an issue.

You might want to check out possibility of finding actual tracks? Like at athletic fields, if you want to avoid running on pavement.

At 6 a.m. the streets will be pretty much deserted. So run wherever you like -- pavement, parks etc.

In Prague, Kampa Island would be a good place to run. It is mostly park with nice paths and great views. You will find it just under the Charles Bridge. It's a great place to stay too.
