Rubber Stamps in French?

Here in the US stationery stores stock pre-inked rubber stamps, with common business phrases: for example: COPY, RUSH, DRAFT, etc. There are at least a dozen or so of these “stock” stamps available. They are relatively inexpensive, in the $7 -10 range.

The last trip in France I thought it might be an interesting souvenir to buy a stamp with IMPORTANT, RUSH, CONFIDENTIAL, or some such other phrase written in French. I could use them around my office or at home, and in addition to practicing my (admittedly bad) French each time I used it, my wife and I would be reminded of our vacations in France.

We looked in a traditional stationery store in Paris and an Office Depot and several hypermarches out on the road. About the only stamp I saw had something practical like PAR AVION, and it was over $20 ( I know the Euro was strong, but…).

Do the French business people not use these stamps with the wild abandon we use them here in the US?...Was I in the wrong type of store?... In France is it only government officials who “stamp things?”

Here's a link to French Office Depot. They seem to have a few online anyway.

Shoe repair shops and keymakers often sell rubber stamps.

Thanks All. Elemen, your second recommendation looks right on.

Will play on their web site.

Thanks,
Steve
