Rovinj, Croatia Regatta Dates
 

Hello Fodorites!
We leave for our trip to Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia April 20. We are set to go due to all your help! One last question:
Does anyone know the dates of the Regatta in Rovinj? I believe it is held in May. \We will stay in Rovinj May 1,2,3 - on a weekend. Is this the date of the Regatta? If so, is this a GOOD thing or a BAD thing. I am kinda of hoping it is the weekend. Would make things hectic but would be beautiful.

The Regatta usually runs for a week and is planned for the weekend of your visit. It will be busy but not too crazy. Have a blast!

Thanks LittleVicky. We will enjoy the boats in the harbor - should be beautiful. Perhaps we will eat our main meals in the "hill towns".

In Dubrovnik will do a day trip to Kotor via car rental
In Mostar will do a side trip to Medjugorie (we are Catholic)

Are you staying in any of those accommodations? Where are you staying? What are your dates? I am concerned about not having good weather! Wish we had booked the trip starting a month later. Too late now!
From Zagreb we fly to Belgium for 5 days - will see Brussels, Bruges and maybe Ghent there.

We have 2 teenagers, so we looked for places to stay that were appropriate for a family.

About the Mostar Guide: Who, What, When, Where? How much?

A guide sounds good as you can get a lot of the war history. Is the guide from an agency or privately employed.
