Route to the m'way from Nice SNCF

Route to the m'way from Nice SNCF
We take the motorail service from Calais to Nice, and every year we get hopelessly lost trying to find the motorway, direction Italy. Last year all the approach roads were up due to the construction of a tram system.

Has anyone got a good way, that will lead us to the motorway rather than to a major row?

doesn't the autoroute rip along right by the train station, practically thru it?

Actually, the autoroute is quite a way back from the coast and more or less beyond the Nice city limits.

from Nice, take A-8 highway ( toll) to Italy ( east to Liguria), it is A-10 there. Other roads are jammed with traffic.
You can get to A-8 just passed the airport in Nice. ( there is another way, further east, but I am not sure how to get there)

It is negotiating our way through Nice that is the major problem, it has so many one-way systems - once we are on the motorway everything is fine.
