Roughly how long does a Premier league football match take?

I need to buy train tickets to get back after the Charity Shield match - how long I should plan for? Thanks

(You're not trolling me here, are you??)

Eric - a football (soccer) match has two halves of 90 minutes each, with a half-time interval of around 15 minutes.
So if the match starts at 3.00pm (many do), it should be finished by 5.00pm. But you will have to take account of the crowds of spectators (50K+?) also leaving the ground at the same time ....

BTW, the Charity Shield isn't a Premier League match, it's a special one-off game played between last season's League winners and knockout Cup competition winners - with, I assume, the profits going to charity ??

Actually it is two 45 minute halves plus several minutes of injury time and a halftime of not to exceed 15 minutes. So it is about two hrs total. Then you'll need time to fight your way out through the crowds and get to the station.

Oops - guess I can't tell the time yet ...
Mikey is right, 45 mins per half.
