Rouen to Mont St. Michel

Any idea how far Rouen is from Mont St. Michel? We will be on a river trip which stops in Rouen. We visit Normandy one day from Rouen and then the next day we visit Honfleur end up in Caudebec-en- Caen in the afternoon. We would like to visit Mont St. Michel instead of Honfleur and wondered what the distance by cab would be to MSM from Rouen and back from MSM to Caudebec-en-Caen and perhaps the cost. Anyone have some input here? It has to be a day trip only so we can reboard the ship late afternoon. Thanks!

It's 212 km(132 miles).
Not easy in public transportation : no direct railway and station are minimum 10 km from Mt st Michel...
Only solution : to rent a car in Rouen and it's a 2-3 h drive.
If the weather is sunny, a very nice day...
If not , don't worth it...

You could take the train to Rennes and then the bus to Mont St-Michel, but I doubt that you'll ahve the time.

Agree Rouen is hours from Mt St Michel and the only realistic option is to rent a car. Taxi, assuming you could get one to do it, would be hundreds of euros. And public transit is convoluted - and you wouldn;t have time to get there and back.

Thanks for the help! I think we'll enjoy Rouen instead.
