Rouen, France to Bruges, Belguim - Drive or Train?
O.K. I'm changelled in trying to use the websites for the trains I confess. So I'm taking the easy way and hoping some one can answer this question and/or point me to which train website to check this out. We may be taking a cruise that stops for an overnight in Rouen. Because we've already spent time in Rouen (and yes also time in Paris), we're thinking of going over to Bruges where we've never been. I looked at mappy.com and looks like about 3.5 hr drive. I suspect if we take the train, we have to go to Paris and catch it from there. Comments and ideas?
Yes I"ll check cruisecritic.com too
Thanks

If you look at the German rail site - bahn.de - it has the schedules for all of Europe. (NOt good for prices except for trips beginning in Germany.)
Apparently you're right and the only trains listed seem to require 2 or 3 changes for a trip of about 5 hours. It seems like driving would make sense if you're doing an overnight or 2 - but too far for a day trip - considering the time it would take to organize the car rental and drop-off.

HI; Driving that route from Rouen to Bruge is easy. On the way, the largest WW1 cemetery [Canadian] would be a stop you could consider. Just over three hours drive time. Bruge is worth the extra effort. Dick
