rothenburg accomodations

I'm looking for a place for one night in Rothenburg that is within walking distance to the train station and the center of town. Would like something quaint!! Any suggestions?

We stayed at the Gerberhaus. Nice, although a little more expensive than where we usually stay. Breakfast was included and very extensive.

Carol, we stayed at the Hotel-Garni Hornburg which is right outside the gate. It is a beautiful B&B and the hosts are very nice and helpful. We walked from the train station. I recommend it highly. <BR> http://www.hotelhornburg.rothenburg.de/html/emain.htm <BR>Be sure to take the Night Watchman's Tour. It is fun and educational.

We also stayed at the Hotel Garni-Hornburg and it was great!Very charming. The host and his dogs are very friendly. His wife was in the hospital so we hope she is o.k. now. We could not have had a better location. We would definitely recommend it!!!

Do you remember how much you paid per night?

Carol, we paid $83 per night for a large sunny room in April. The dollar is even stronger against the mark since we were there. The breakfasts were very nice also.

We used the Gerberhaus in July 97 mainly because it was within the city walls and very close to the Youth Hostel our daughters were staying. The hotel is very basic, nice big & clean rooms and a surprisingly good breakfast. We payed DM 130 for a double with free garage. <BR>http://www.gerberhaus.rothenburg.de/ <BR> <BR>Paulo <BR>
