Ronnie Scotts or Pizza on the Park?

Where is the best place for a night of Jazz?

Gina Feb 20th, 2001 05:25 AM

I haven't been to Pizza on the Park, but I *love* Ronnie Scotts and always try to return whenever I'm in London. Some of it will depend on the schedule, who's on that night and what type of performers particularly interest you.

Try Pizza Express at Dean Street too. Very much worth a look. Likely to be cheaper that Ronnie Scott's.

For one of the best kept secrets on jazz clubs in town... go to the 606 Club in Chelsea. You'll need to book in advance or they won't let you in(you can get the number from the Hardens Guide to London Restaurants). Small club, always packed, food's nothing special, but jazz and atmosphere are fantastic.

Hey Kate, thanks so much for the tip! I'll check it out next time I go, and will pass it on to my roommate who's off to London this week.
