Ronda to Seville by bus - how?

How do you get from Ronda to Seville with public transportation? Do I need to purchase bus ticket in advance?

Try www.movelia.es for bus schedules. It doesn't show any direct bus and suggests changing at Jerez. There are three daily from Ronda to Jerez and more frequent services from Jerez to Sevilla; you can also go from Jerez to Sevilla by train. Tickets can normally be bought at the bus stations.
If you got a morning bus from Ronda, perhaps you could have lunch in Jerez before going on to Sevilla.

I am in the process of planning bus travel from Seville to Ronda and it seems that transport between the two is by bus. I don't know whether tickets need to be purchased beforehand but the bus company operating the route is 'Los Amarillos'.

A couple of websites that may be helpful are:
http://www.gomarbella.com/ronda/ronda-bus-station.htm
http://www.losamarillos.es/index.jsp

The second is in Spanish but with a little bit of knowledge and the help of google translate I've been able to decipher it.

Good luck with your planning.

Hi teatravel,
I've just found the official website of the Ronda Tourist Board:
http://www.turismoderonda.es/indexeng.htm

On the left under 'how to arrive' the bus companies and destinations are listed and on the right under 'useful information' is a listing of the buses, web addresses and timetables. Los Amarillos provides a direct service to Seville.

The site is in English.

Many thanks to all of you for the web sites. There is a bus from Seville to Ronda according to this web site: http://www.exploreseville.com/transport.htm
I figure if I want to go the other direction, there must be a bus there somewhere, but I was unable to find it. I was thinking a direct bus. May be stopping at Jerez for lunch with www.movelia.es isn't too bad. I hope the weather in Ronda is still fine (no rain or snow) in November.

Thanks again.

Los Amarillos' site now allows you to buy tickets online, a month before departure, FYI. They just added this feature last week!

Take a look here:

I do not think you'll have problems, just get to the station and buy your ticket.
