Ronda or Jerez

We have three days in Seville and want to take one day trip to either Ronda or Jerez. Which do you recommend and why? Thanks!

Are you interested in visiting a sherry winery. If so, go to Jerez. Tio Pepe is an historic winery with beautiful buildings and offer s an excellent tour with gastings and snacks.

Not Córdoba?

We will be in Cordoba, Granada and Seville. Should we skip Jerez or Ronda and spend more time in Seville or which day trip do you recommend?

Jerez is an easy day trip from Sevilla, Ronda takes a little more planning due to transportation issues. Fine if you have a car, not so much by public transportation.

Only 3 days in Seville and you want to take 1 day out?

Seville is amazing!

Are you sure that 3 days in Sevilla will be enough to allow a day trip (and that your time in Cordoba and Granada is also sufficient)? If so, it is (as others are noting) up to your interests and tolerance for time en route – Ronda is easily reachable by public transportation, but takes about 2.5 hours each way.

Ronda is a real target for tour buses from the Costa del Sol and can be quite crowded. In Jerez you have the sherry bodegas and performances by the horse school. Check out the days and times they are given. Either is fine, but 5 hrs on the road back and forth to Ronda is a bit much.
