OOh..I see that Maureen's last name was mentioned at the top. Shame on me for not reading more carefully. I hope this tour is given in the winter.

Last time we spent a half-day wandering around Testaccio..visited the morning market, bought up lots of delicious morsels at Volpetti, etc. I would highly recommend this area of Rome for food touring;it is far less touristed than the Campo dei Fiori area. Volpetti has a branch in center city but it is much smaller.

Check out the Fortuny restaurant at the Cipriani on Giudecca ... a short boat ride from Venice. Incredible!

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it does not seem that ContextRome gives any tours in January! I will ask them about private tours during that month.
